Pilot Tutoring

Personalized Online Aviation Instruction

Tutoring for Student, Private, and Commercial Pilots

By booking a lesson with me, you can learn from a certificated Flight Instructor (CFI), Instrument Flight Instructor (CFII), and Multi-engine Instructor (MEI) who recently went through the very same checkrides that you are preparing for. I provide teaching that is heavily based on learning the theories for why and how things work which will enable you to better understand the content and excel on your actual exam. Expect to learn not only about how to prepare for your current rating, but how to prepare for future ones too!

Typically, a flight instructor would charge over $70 an hour, and I have seen some charge more than $120! My prices are much lower, currently at only $40 an hour!

Why so low? I enjoy teaching, and if I can pass along the knowledge that I have obtained in this process through a lot of successes and failures, and prevent others from making the same mistakes I did, it makes my time worthwhile! I also am keenly aware of how expensive training is, and want to make it more affordable for anyone who wants to improve their knowledge.

I don’t do online tutoring for personal gain - the airlines and future employers only care about my flying hours. I could go and maximize these flying hours and minimizing the ground learning, but students universally perform better with strong ground knowledge. Despite this, many flight instructors in the industry do everything possible minimize the ground lessons they provide, leaving thousands of student pilots across the country underprepared and lacking the critical knowledge they need to be successful students and pilots. I hope to change this, one tutoring session at a time.

About Me

  • I have obtained my Flight Instructor Rating for both Single (CFI) and Multi-engine (MEI) airplanes, as well as my Instrument Instructor rating (CFII), and all the associated commercial pilot ratings as well. I can provide instruction to any stage of pilot, including student, private, instrument, and commercial pilots.

I have extensive experience with Piper aircraft in both conventional 6-pack and the G1000 system, and Piper Seminoles (PA-44-180) with 6-pack and/or G5 avionics. I can provide valuable instruction for those in a variety of aircraft, including Cessna and others. The G1000 systems are common at larger flight schools.

I have experience in both Part 141 and Part 61 training programs in both the Midwest and East Coast.

I have flown out of Norwood MA, Islip NY, Grand Forks ND, Manassas VA, and many other airports. Each airport and airspace has presented new challenges to overcome, yet has made me a better pilot. I look forward to passing this knowledge onto you.

Mock checkrides are a bit different from the real thing. You’ll receive tips, tricks, and be taught things you didn’t know. Expect it to be more challenging than the real deal. The feedback I’ve received from students indicates that my mock checkrides were invaluable for their successful checkride outcome.
